Powder coating plays an everyday role in the appliances we use on a daily basis. The biggest role it plays is in our home. Powder coating is a dry finishing process in which a steady stream of thermoplastic or thermoset powder material, rather than a fluid suspension, is applied to a surface. After it is applied to a surface it is melted and then allowed to dry, hardening into a protective coating. The powder is applied and covered through electrostatic spray deposition (ESD) to an electrically grounded metal substrate.

Increasingly, several original manufacturers are choosing to finish their equipment or construction equipment with powder coating.
